The challenge

Skullcandy wanted to elevate onsite experience to better reflect the brand’s culture and community, without compromising speed or global consistency. Their goals included:

The Solution

Skullcandy partnered with Videowise to turn social and UGC content into high-performance, shoppable video experiences on all four regional online stores across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Europe.

Together, we implemented:

  • Single video widgets on the homepage and marketing landing pages to reduce site loads and preserve site speeds while serving branded campaign videos presenting dynamism and high energy of the brand.
  • An automated Instagram carousel on the homepage, distributing fresh social content at scale while maintaining consistency across regions.
  • Shoppable UGC video carousels placed under the Add to Cart button on PDPs, reinforcing trust and credibility at the moment of purchase.

Videowise’s lightweight infrastructure ensured better page speed, even with video deployed across multiple stores and high-traffic pages. The centralized setup also allowed Skullcandy to efficiently distribute video experiences across the four regional websites without added operational complexity.


The results

The impact of shoppable video was both immediate and measurable:

  • Up to 5% uplift in conversion rate and 7.9% increase in RPS when Videowise widgets were shown
  • The carousel under Add to Cart generated $120,432 post-video watched revenue in less than a month
  • 265 hours and 41 minutes increase in time spent on site in just one month
